Vulvar Dysplasia
With a diagnosis of vulvar dysplasia, a pap smear is recommended to rule out cervical cancer.
Doctors recommend removing the abnormal tissue to prevent the cancer from developing. Women that have this condition can be divided into two groups that have different causes. Younger women have cancers associated with HPV and VIN and older women have a history of vulva inflammation and lichen sclerosis.
With a diagnosis of vulvar dysplasia, a pap smear is recommended to rule out cervical cancer.

Vulvar Dysplasia -
Pap Smear, Cervical Cancer
Symptoms of this condition (also known as Vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia) include itching and burning or slightly raised skin lesions. This condition is similar to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), only appears on the vulva. Like the cervix if these changes are left untreated for many years could turn into cancer. With a diagnosis of vulvar dysplasia, a pap smear is recommended to rule out cervical cancer.
