Biopsy Vulvar
With a biopsy, vulvar tissue is taken to diagnose cancer; similar to treatment of vaginal dysplasia, but not lichen sclerosis.
Upon finding the abnormal areas, the doctor will inject a local anesthetic into the skin to make it numb. If the abnormal area is small the doctor will completely remove it, sewing the skin together. If the area is larger, a tiny piece of tissue is removed, not requiring stitches.
With a biopsy, vulvar tissue is taken to diagnose cancer; similar to treatment of vaginal dysplasia, but not lichen sclerosis.

Biopsy Vulvar -
Vaginal Dysplasia, Lichen Sclerosis
The only way to be sure vulva cancer is present is to remove tissue from the suspected area and examine it under a microscope by a pathologist. Dye called toluidine blue may be used. This dye helps identify all the areas of abnormal skin to take the tissue samples from. With a biopsy, vulvar tissue is taken to diagnose cancer; similar to treatment of vaginal dysplasia, but not lichen sclerosis.
