Bacterial Pregnancy Vaginosis
A bacterial pregnancy vaginosis is commonly diagnosed and can mimic lichen sclerosis; a cone biopsy is not a treatment option.
For pregnant women who have this infection, treatment is especially important. Regardless of symptoms, any woman that has had a premature delivery or low birth weight baby in the past should be tested for the possible presence of the infection.
