Symptom Vaginosis
The main symptom vaginosis is abnormal vaginal discharge, but a pap smear test doesn't determine the presence of HPV.
Signs include abnormal, watery or pearly gray discharge and a strong fishy odor. It is believed that a sexual partner doesn’t infect a woman with this condition, but sexual contact is associated with its occurrence. Excessive bacterias that are normally present in the vagina cause this condition.

Symptom Vaginosis -
Vaginal Discharge, Pap Smear
Strong chemicals or soaps, douching, or bacteria spread during sex can be the causes of this condition. Avoid tight fitting cloths, and avoid douches or scented pads and tampons. A way to prevent vaginal infections is to wear clean, loose fitting clothes made from cotton or linen. The main symptom vaginosis is abnormal vaginal discharge, but a pap smear test doesn't determine the presence of HPV.
