Desquamative Inflammatory Vaginitis
Desquamative inflammatory vaginitis is difficult to differentiate using only a Pap smear interpretation indicating cervical dysplasia.
Common symptoms are persistent frothy discharge, burning, soreness and dyspareunia. Vaginal skin is thin and bleeds easily. Some cases of DIV are difficult to differentiate from lichen planus. The cause of DIV is unknown. Vulvar pain syndromes cause major psychological as well as physical distress.

Desquamative Inflammatory Vaginitis -
Pap Smear, Cervical Dysplasia
DIV is a blistering or erosive skin disease of the vagina. It is extremely difficult to diagnosis this condition due to its similarity to atrophic vaginosis. It has been known as exudative vaginosis, hydrorrhea vaginosis, erosive vaginosis s or haemorrhagic v vaginosis. Desquamative inflammatory vaginitis is difficult to differentiate using only a Pap smear interpretation indicating cervical dysplasia.
