Pregnant Vaginal Discharge
When pregnant, vaginal discharge often occurs, but there isn’t need for a colposcopy and it doesn’t indicate a urinary infection.
Some infections have to be treated with safe medication as they threaten the fetus. In some cases, no treatment is prescribed. Spotting or bleeding after 37 weeks may be due to cervix dilation and signals a near labor. Notifying a doctor on these symptoms is recommended.
