Atrophicus Lichen Sclerosis
Atrophicus lichen sclerosis is easily confused with vulvar vestibulitis and HPV.
Patients register itching in the genital area prior to the appearance of lesions on the vagina (or penis) and anus. There appear plaques that damage the skin and often result in skin splitting. Steroids treatment is prescribed to diminish pain. In severe cases, the condition may lead to cancer.
